About the event
Concert-Lecture presented by the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Initiative, in collaboration with the Center for Language, Music, and Emotion (NYU).
The Nadia and Lili Boulanger Initiative, chaired by composer and pianist Johan Farjot and research scientist Claire Pelofi, sits at the intersection of artistic creation and neuroscience. By fostering dialogue between composers, musicians, and scientists, the initiative explores profound questions about the brain and musical language. Its mission is to uncover the cognitive foundations of music composition across time and cultures, drawing on expertise from leading specialists in both research and creation.
The program will feature works by Lili Boulanger, Astor Piazzolla, Maurice Ravel, Mel Bonis, and Johan Farjot. Discussions will be led by Johan Farjot and Claire Pelofi.
Event will take place in a private residence. Please contact Katie if you are interested in attending.
